My quick story

Since childhood, I‘ve been fascinated by computers, experimenting early on with music and design software. This curiosity grew into a 10+ year design career, taking me from agencies in NYC to LA, where I worked with brands like Red Bull and Unilever.

These experiences honed my eye for impactful visuals and effective storytelling, but over time, I wanted to do more than create visuals—I wanted to build full experiences. That led me into web development, where I began teaching myself to build applications from scratch. Learning the technical side has been challenging but deeply rewarding, allowing me to blend design with functionality in meaningful ways.

Now, I find myself at the exciting intersection of creativity and engineering, bringing together my design instincts and technical skills to create seamless, engaging applications. I’m committed to continually learning, always striving to build products that both look incredible and work beautifully.

As a developer

My coding ethos revolves around reusability and readability, ensuring that any collaborator can easily dive into my work. To me, software development is inherently collaborative, so I focus on crafting accessible, maintainable code.

I believe a codebase should be built for both longevity and flexibility; my mantra is maintainability and upgradability. Efficient coding isn’t just about functionality—it’s about minimizing future refactoring time to integrate new features seamlessly.

Each project I take on is more than just a task; it‘s an opportunity to improve, grow, and refine my skills with every line of code I write.

 Embracing AI as a Developer

Early on, I embraced the philosophy of openness to change and adoption of new technologies—a crucial mindset in a field where companies and developers constantly strive for efficiency. Advances in AI don't intimidate me; rather, I view them as tools that empower developers to build more robust solutions independently.

As AI becomes increasingly sophisticated, I see it less as a replacement and more as an assistant, helping teams remain agile and deliver high-quality products. By staying adaptive, I aim to leverage AI to enhance my work, ensuring each solution is stronger, smarter, and more efficient.

My Work Process

With over a decade of agency experience, I’ve honed my approach to project management, leveraging agile, kanban, and sprint systems. I believe that careful planning, down to the most quantifiable tasks, is essential for focused and productive development. My process begins by breaking down pages into individual components, creating GitHub issues to define requirements for each, then developing and testing each component in separate branches.

By managing requirements in smaller blocks, I streamline development, testing, and code review, ensuring smoother project progression. In the end, meticulous planning is the backbone of any successful, well-executed project.

As a person

The best way to describe me is efficient. I‘m always looking for the quickest, most effective ways to get time back—whether it‘s cooking a nutritious meal fast or hitting a new personal record in the weight room.

I thrive on learning and challenges; not long ago, I picked up ice hockey, diving into games with much more experienced players. It‘s tough and sometimes frustrating, but it‘s the fastest way to improve, and that drive for growth fuels both my personal and professional life.

As a colleague

Collaboration and communication have been central to my journey, thanks to years of team sports. I‘ve learned that, no matter how fast you are, the puck or ball will always be faster, making it essential to trust and rely on the strengths of teammates.

My professional experience includes leading projects for Red Bull, Unilever, and Anheuser-Busch, where I honed my project management skills and commitment to executing efficiently. Some of my most rewarding work has involved managing multiagency projects, balancing diverse perspectives to achieve great outcomes.
